We combine EU and regulatory expertise, public procurement, development, project finance, M&A, competition, ESG, and dispute resolution expertise to support clients on achieving timely and efficiently executed development projects, single asset or portfolio acquisitions, disposals, financings and restructurings of infrastructure and energy assets.

Our experience has been gained by acting for many years on the highest value and most complex projects and on virtually all major public-private partnerships in Belgium.

We also have notable expertise working in various jurisdictions including in Sub-Saharan Africa, which is a particular focus of our team.

Notable assignments

Acting for bidding consortia, tendering authorities, investors and lenders on virtually all large PPP projects tendered by various authorities in Belgium in the past 15 years, on projects ranging from roads, bridges, tunnels, heavy and light rail, school infrastructure, prisons, defence infrastructure, public buildings, water treatment, sea locks, ports and airport infrastructure.

Advising developers, contractors, investors and energy producers on renewable and conventional energy assets and projects, including on and off-shore wind, solar, biomass, gas, battery storage and other assets.

Representing large corporates, investors and funders on the development, financing and execution of major projects and concessions in various jurisdictions including the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville), Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, Mali, Turkey and Ecuador.
