Notable assignments

Advising I4B – The Belgian Infrastructure Fund and Luminus on senior development financing of Belgium’s largest – at the time of closing - battery energy storage system installation to be constructed in the Walloon region.

Representing the Swiss transmission system operator Swissgrid in proceedings before the European Court of Justice against the European Commission related to Swissgrid’s entitlement, under the EU’s Electricity Balancing (EB) Regulation, to participate in the European platforms for the exchange of standard products for balancing energy, and in appeals before the EU General Court against three decisions of the Board of Appeal of the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) involving the same issue under the EB Regulation.

Advising a major Chinese SOE in the energy sector on FSR compliance strategies.

Assisting a private equity fund in a high-value arbitration relating to a contractual dispute regarding the performance of the operation of a biomass plant.
