On 23 October 2025, the Council of the EU adopted its 19th package of sanctions against Russia.
On 23 October 2025, the Council of the EU adopted its 19th package of sanctions against Russia. The new package expands the targeted sanctions and trade and sectoral sanctions imposed against Russia and notably introduces an import prohibition on Russian liquified natural gas (“LNG”). It also introduces further restrictive measures against Belarus.
