The federal government just submitted a bill to Parliament that will modify the procedures of the Belgian Competition Authority while taking away parts of its merger review powers. The Bill also implements Regulation (EU) 2022/1925 on contestable and fair markets in the digital sector (Digital Markets Act). The attached note offers a brief overview of the proposed amendments.
