On 26 January 2024, the Council of the EU adopted its negotiating position on the Proposed Regulation prohibiting products made with forced labour on the European Union market. The Council put forward important amendmentsas compared to the original proposal tabled by the European Commission in September 2022 and the negotiating position adopted by the European Parliament in November 2023.
