Yuriy specialises in international trade law with a particular focus on anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard investigations, representing leading foreign and European companies.
Over more than 25 years of practice in the VBB Brussels office, Yuriy has represented numerous exporters in over 100 anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard proceedings concerning a wide variety of products in the EU and other jurisdictions.
Yuriy enjoys an excellent reputation as a leading trade defence lawyer in the EU with the steel, chemicals, automotive, plywood and other wood-related industries.

- Renault Group in an anti-subsidy investigation into imports of Aluminium Road Wheels from Morocco.
- Kukdo Chemical, a major producer of epoxy resins in Korea, in an anti-dumping investigation in the EU and securing compete termination of the proceedings against Korea.
- POSCO and its affiliated companies in the parallel investigation processes into alleged circumvention of the anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures on imports of cold-rolled stainless steel and successfully obtaining exemptions for POSCO companies operating in Turkey and Vietnam.
- EU wood processing industries, including plywood and parquet, in relation to several anti-dumping and anti-circumvention proceedings.
