Viktor is an associate for the transactional practice.
He has a focus on (cross-border) venture capital, private equity and corporate acquisitions. He regularly assists clients incorporated in various jurisdictions, including the US, Dubai, Luxembourg, the UK, France and the Netherlands, secure financing or acquire companies. He also developed expertise in corporate litigation and arbitration.
Prior to joining Van Bael & Bellis, Viktor studied law in Belgium and China, and completed a Master’s degree in economic sciences in Dutch. He also gained practical experience by working at a major Belgian bank and several major Belgian law firms.
Representative matters
- Assisting the Indigo group in successfully acquiring a majority stake in BePark and its French and Spanish subsidiaries.
- Assisting a Caiman Island and Luxembourg-based private equity fund to finance several Belgian companies through the use convertible bonds.
- Acting for Gedeon Richter on its strategic acquisition of 100% of the shares in Estetra and Neuralis, and certain assets of Mithra Recherche et Développement, from Mithra Pharmaceuticals.
- Litigating for a major French agro-industrial company in the context of a post-acquisition arbitration.
- Litigating for a major American multinational active in the sportswear industry in the context of a commercial litigation.
- Completing the post-closing restructuring of the Belgian entities of a major French IT group.
