Pablo also advises clients on other aspects of EU law, such as free movement of goods and the internal market regulatory framework.
He regularly advises global companies on how to ensure compliance with existing and upcoming EU customs and wider trade law-related requirements as part of their responsible supply chain management. Matters he advises on are often multi-jurisdictional, involving the European Commission, OLAF, and the World Customs Organization (WCO).
Pablo represents clients before national customs administrations, including in relation to the submission of remission and repayment requests, in different EU Member States, frequently supported by a multijurisdictional team. His experience extends to litigation before the EU and national courts. He has also assisted governments in WTO disputes.
Pablo regularly speaks on EU customs issues at international conferences and has participated as expert speaker on customs matters at WCO training seminars (WCO Knowledge Academy for Customs and Trade) and conferences. He lectures on EU customs law at the University Carlos III in Madrid in the Master of European Union Law programme.
