Our experience in this area includes matters involving EU and UK antitrust law, antitrust damages cases, merger control, aviation regulation, corporate M&A, employment, environmental regulation, and international financial and trade sanctions.

We have represented clients before regulators and courts in some of the largest antitrust investigations, high-profile mergers and State aid investigations.

We have been advising on EU aviation regulation for over 30 years and have represented clients before EU institutions on matters such as computer reservation systems and slot allocation.

We also help clients navigate and comply with the increasingly complex environmental and trade regulation landscape.

Notable assignments

Representing Boeing in numerous merger control reviews of its strategic M&A activity, including the EC’s phase II review of Boeing’s proposed acquisition of Embraer, Boeing’s acquisition of McDonnell Douglas and Boeing’s satellite launch JV with Lockheed.

Advising one of the world’s leading reinsurers in relation to sanctions issues arising from the detention in Russia of aircraft following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Representing a large group of investors in setting up Brussels Airlines following the bankruptcy of Belgian national carrier Sabena.

Advising a leading aerospace manufacturer on compliance with the EU’s CBAM and REACH Regulations.

Advising various airlines and airports on sensitive antitrust law matters such as dominance, pricing policy and cooperation arrangements as well as State aid issues.

Advising on the EU’s Ozone Regulation and related licensing requirements for imports/exports of private jets in the EU.
