We have successfully represented the Korean producer Taekwang Industrial Co., Ltd. in the context of an EU anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of terephthalic acid (PTA) originating in the Republic of Korea and Mexico.

The investigation, which involves terephthalic acid of a purity by weight of 99.5% or more, led to the provisional duties published in the Official Journal of the EU: http://data.europa.eu/eli/reg_impl/2026/801/oj

The European Commission concluded that Taekwang Industrial Co., Ltd. engaged in no dumping activity. Consequently, while other exporters from Korea and Mexico face provisional anti-dumping duties ranging from 6.2% to 25.7%, Taekwang Industrial Co., Ltd. will be fully exempt from these duties.

This preliminary outcome is a significant victory for Taekwang Industrial Co., Ltd., ensuring their continued duty-free access to the European Union market despite the broader imposition of trade defence measures on the product.
