Founding member of Legal Diversity & Inclusion Alliance

We are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working environment one in which all individuals are empowered to thrive, contribute fully, and reach their highest potential.

We believe that excellence in legal advice depends not only on technical ability but also on the richness of perspectives, experiences, and voices within our firm.

As an international law firm, we work across borders, legal systems, and cultures. To meet the complex and evolving needs of our global clients, we actively seek to attract, retain, and develop top legal talent from a wide range of backgrounds and legal traditions.

We know that diverse teams deliver more innovative solutions and that an inclusive culture enables the kind of collaboration, trust, and insight that our clients value most.

Our commitment in action
Our Social Responsibility and Diversity (SRD) Committee and its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Working Group play a central role in delivering on our DEI goals.

Composed of lawyers, staff and management of all seniorities and representing a variety of practice areas, the Working Group ensures that DEI is integrated into the firm’s culture, operations, and strategic direction.

Its mission is to create lasting impact for our people and clients by embedding inclusion into everything we do.
Equal opportunities
We promote equal opportunities for all lawyers and staff, work to advance gender equality and
support a culture of belonging where everyone – regardless of background, identity, culture or experience – feels respected, valued, and heard.

Our internal policies and business practices recognise that our obligations extend beyond the firm to the communities and clients we serve.
Building a more inclusive future
We understand that meaningful progress requires both reflection and action. That’s why we are committed to continuously listening, learning, and improving.

From supporting inclusive recruitment and flexible working policies to engaging with external networks and initiatives such as LDIA (the Legal Diversity & Inclusion Alliance, of which VBB is a proud co-founder), we are taking practical steps to ensure that VBB remains a place where diversity is not only welcomed but celebrated.
Our progress
We are proud of the progress we have made. We recognise that there is more to do and we strongly commit to continuing to implement change.

We remain focused on building a workplace that reflects the diverse world around us—and that empowers each of us to make a positive impact.
