VBB secures EC merger control clearance of Sopra Steria’s acquisition of Ordina

Van Bael & Bellis (VBB) is very pleased to have worked with Sopra Steria Group SA to obtain European Commission unconditional merger control clearance of its acquisition of Ordina NV. Clearance was announced on 5 July and the transaction is anticipated to close in the second half of 2023.
Sopra Steria is a European tech leader in consulting, digital services and software development, and is listed on Euronext Paris. It has 50,000 employees in around 30 countries, and generated revenue of EUR5.1 billion in 2022. Ordina provides a range of cybersecurity and compliance services, digital acceleration services, business platforms and cloud services and data-driven services. It is listed on Euronext Amsterdam and recorded revenue of EUR429 million in 2022.
