VBB counsel promotions

VBB is delighted to announce the promotion of Cedric Hauben and Jorren Garrez to Counsel with effect from 1 February 2025. Cedric and Jorren’s dedication, expertise, and client-focused approach have been instrumental in VBB’s success, in particular its strong development in the finance and projects sphere.
Cedric specialises in financing transactions, advising all participants involved in complex cross-border deals, with a focus on leveraged finance, project finance and venture capital investments. He is particularly active in the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, as well as the real estate and leisure industries. Cedric also advises on commercial and industrial contracts and arrangements in the framework of large development projects in these sectors. Speaking about his new role, Cedric said: “Many thanks to our clients and to the partnership alike for their trust and support. I look forward to continuing the journey with great enthusiasm throughout these interesting times.”
Jorren is a specialist in our European and Belgian public and administrative law practice, with a particular focus on public procurement matters, PPP projects and litigation. He deals with complex and strategic projects and advises clients from both the public and private sectors at local, regional, federal and European level. He also has particular expertise in defending clients’ interests before the Belgian civil courts and Council of State, as well as before the General Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Jorren adds, ““I am grateful for this opportunity and eager to continue building the public law practice at VBB.’’
