No-poach agreements: Heightened antitrust risk in Europe

Competition scrutiny of labour and employment markets is ramping up around the world. As outlined in our June podcast, Europe is no exception. Dawn raids carried out by the European Commission earlier this week in relation to alleged no-poach agreements in the online food/grocery/other consumer goods delivery sector confirm that labour market restrictions remain an enforcement priority. National competition authorities in EU Member States and the UK are also investigating potential labour market-related competition infringements.
