Overview

Matthias Koopmans’ practice focuses on the financing and development of energy and infrastructure projects. The combination of Matthias’ experience in financing documentation as well as in project and development contracts (EPC, O&M, Interface Agreements,…) allows him to advice clients on the interests of all stakeholders in the development of projects.

In addition to his legal expertise, Matthias is also a trained mediator, which drives him to seek optimal solutions and solve issues in a manner favorable to all involved parties.

Prior to joining Van Bael & Bellis, Matthias worked in an Energy and Infrastructure practice for an international law firm in Brussels.
