Overview
Eamonn is an Associate for the Trade practice. He focuses on international trade law, from an EU and UK perspective, including preferential trade agreements and sanctions. Eamonn was educated in Ireland and France, and most recently completed an LLM in European Law at the College of Europe, Bruges.
Prior to joining Van Bael & Bellis, Eamonn worked for several years as a lawyer in the UK Government’s Department for International Trade (DIT). While at DIT, Eamonn advised on a broad range of matters, including the negotiation of preferential trade agreements, the implementation of UK-3rd country “continuity” trade agreements and the conduct of UK bilateral trade relations with partner countries in a post-Brexit context, and the preparation of UK trade sanctions measures.
